Software and system testing on a StratusLab cloud

Unit testing, continuous integration and other techniques allow you to ensure the quality of your code, but testing large scale systems made up of interacting services is much more difficult. SlipStream is a tool which helps you to do just that, by deploying test environments in a cloud automatically, on-demand, and releasing the resources after use.

SlipStream has to date used Amazon EC2 for cloud resources, but now has fully integrated support for StratusLab version 1.0 allowing SlipStream and the cloud resources to be deployed more flexibly using StratusLab, for example on entirely private cloud infrastructures.

SlipStream simplifies the job of creating test environments, and frees users from tedious manual configuration. With the ease of deploying a StratusLab cloud, you can now create custom, personalised test environments, which are representative of production conditions, in minutes.
